20. September 2009 Gibb River Road
No Comments Published in Trips by MarianneAs I’ve already once travelled along the Gibb River Road I was quite interested to see what has changed. We started in Wyndham and followed the Karunjie Track to the Pentecost Crossing. This is definitely one of the prettiest stretches of track we have followed so far.
Along the way we stopped at Manning Gorge where we enjoyed some refreshing swimming and some nice sunsets. We also encountered some bushfires.
In Windjana Gorge we enjoyed an interesting spectacle. All of a sudden all the flying foxes flew out of there trees because they got hunted by a big eagle. Hundreds of flying foxes were flying around the gorge in panic.
On our arrival in Broome we enjoyed the vibrant colour of the water and the pretty sunsets on cable beach.
