Finally Simon and I had our first off-road adventure where we could try our car and equipment in the wild. So far we have only been driving around the city which is not really the right terrain for our car. Together with Russ and Steve we headed to Nowra to explore the Tianjara Fire Trail as detailed in ‘4WD Treks close to Sydney’ by Craig Lewis and Cathy Savage. Russ has quite a bit of experience with four-wheel-driving and he was happy to give us an introduction and show us a few tricks.

We had a lot of fun over the last few days and our car “Bruce” has definitely shown us that he is well capable of what we have in mind. This was definitely only the start to a lot more adventure.
